Design Specifications

ISSI believes our IMPak meets and, in many cases will exceed, most associations' requirements. We are also aware that the application may require modifications; however, we try to keep modifications to a minimum without decreasing capabilities. Prior to the implementation process, ISSI holds a review meeting with each organization to discuss their requirements.

We outline and create a design document based on the discussions during the review meeting and our understanding of your processes and requirements. Once the document has been reviewed and approved by the client, the information is passed on to the individual who will be writing the new pages or modifying existing pages. Once they have written and tested the pages either the trainer or project manager will test the entry and processes. Then, during training, your staff will test the application.

In the review meeting, we discuss:

• The flow of your data; database currently using
• Information you are tracking or want to track
• What outputs are required - labels, invoices, statistics
• How you produce labels—print or send files out to a mailing house
• Marketing efforts and how these are accomplished
• The flow of cash, where to put it into the system, and how the system handles cash
• Committee requirements
• Affiliate requirements
• Meeting/event/speaker/sponsor/abstract/exhibitor flow
• Advertising and processes
• Certifications and processes
• Awards and their processing
• Divisions/sections/groups and the processing flow
• Invoice generation and the requirements
• Order entry and sales processing
• The e-commerce functions your members and non-members will have access to and the interface

The review meeting is a means for your organization to discuss your requirements, processing functions, and procedures with ISSI and for ISSI to determine how your organization will use our system. ISSI identifies if, and where, the application will require a modification. We discuss with you how the existing application functions and how your requirements will conform to the system or how we will modify the system to meet your requirements. ISSI will leave with a firm understanding of your requirements and work flow. We will also have identified custom reports, our work schedule, and the installation, implementation and training schedule.
